Mera has been a lifelong performer. Whether performing acrobatic feats in the circus, singing, acting, dancing, playing piano, or leading Sound Ceremonies – Mera has always taken the role of the muse, communicating eternal truths through performative expression.
At 17, Mera graduated early and went to study acting and music at NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating and spending some years in Los Angeles pursuing acting, Mera experienced a profound kundalini awakening and received the life-changing message that “Music is life, once you understand this you must give your life back to Music”
After this Divine fork in the road, Mera stepped away from acting and embarked on an unfolding mystery of what it truly means to be a Muse. This led to extensively traveling the world as an eternal student of the infinite paths towards remembrance and studying sound from an intuitive, scientific, anthropological, psychological, and spiritual perspective ~ eventually receiving her sound healing Certificate from The Globe Institute in San Francisco.
Mera’s core medicine is Catharsis through radical Embodiment ~ Empowering others to embrace their humanity and step into their unique life path and expression. Mera has lead 100+ Sound Ceremonies and Vocal Empowerment Workshops, served as an awakening guide to many soul clients, and created Ceremonial Performance Art that weaves the healing nature of sound, movement, and ceremony into archetypal stories that connect us to our humanity.
